So with ongoing work commitments, the next two weeks tied up in Jury Service (!?!) and assignment deadlines looming, I have had even less time to craft this week then last!
I have been creating however…
Mini Cards!!!
'Cute, but why?' you might ask...
Well, whilst I generally craft for my own kicks (I’m itching to get back to actually making something - funny how much I miss it when I can't do it), I would love to be able to sell some of what I make.
...One of my favourite daydreams is that I live in a sunny farmhouse in the country, pad around barefoot, make lots of scones/ other baked goods and sustain my way of life by crafting for a living... we can but dream...
In reality, I simply tend to make duplicates of whatever is on my crafting list that week and I can’t gift them all! So the way i figure it, they may as well go to a loving home somewhere else! Fortunately I promised myself at the start of the year, that I would slowly start finding ways of selling a few bits and pieces... hence the cards.
Now whilst I don't have anything to sell yet, or even a functioning shop to sell anything in for that matter (well i have a shell of an etsy shop but nothing worth peeking at yet) I got quite excited about Moo's minicards - so I took my first step towards meeting my new years resolution and created myself a few business type cards. I LOVE them! It perked up my day no end when they arrived. I will probably spend the next 6 months giving them out with gifts, rather than sending them out with items bought, but thats okay. At least its a start!

Hoorah for the cards AND the notion of sharing your skills with the world - at a small price!!
ReplyDeleteHappy to distribute!!
Thanks Em - I'll send a few your way at the weekend! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the mini cards, they are fab! I've looked into them ... perhaps after the babas here ..... Just love the fact you can have differnet photos on each one!
ReplyDeleteYours look lovely, Good Luck!!
love the mini cards.. good luck with getting your craft out there.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Apparently I could have had a different picture on absolutely every card (100 of them) which I thought was slightly excessive, but I used 10 pictures I particularly liked that I can rotate.
ReplyDeleteLove your new business cards - I've seen that type before and been very impressed! Good luck with selling! I think we all have that dream of our crafts sustaining us one day! :)

Moo's are the best love, my moo cards, and the moo stickers they are pretty cool too. I love the fact that you can do so many different ones and they look so professional at a reasonable cost.
ReplyDeletelove a mooo card - they are great aren't they!
ReplyDeleteWe have some for our endlessly changing addresses...
Good luck selling & saving to buy a farm!
Great Portfolio-name cards, and cute Box!
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of Moo, and was similarly chuffed when I got my first batch in the mail! Best wishes for turning your dreams into reality. I took the plunge about 18 months ago and have never looked back. My advice - just start, and let the rest evolve. Nic @ Yardage Design

ReplyDeleteI love moo! I ordered some mini cards from them last year. I love that you can have so many different images. Haven't succumbed to the stickers yet, but I will...Oh yes! x
